Home > eSTOP® Portable Traffic Signal System
The eSTOP® is a proven traffic control solution trusted by Tier-1 contractors across Australia and New Zealand and widely deployed on high-speed and high-risk work sites. Organisations choose eSTOP® because it delivers measurable safety improvements while making traffic control more consistent and predictable.
Improved worker safety
Traffic controllers are positioned away from live traffic, reducing exposure to heavy vehicles, distracted drivers, and unpredictable road conditions.
High visual presence for motorists
The large illuminated target board and signal lantern provide strong roadside visibility, allowing approaching drivers more time to recognise and respond to traffic control instructions.
Reliable operation in poor weather conditions
Unlike handheld stop/slow bats, eSTOP® remains highly visible in fog, rain, glare, and low-light environments, supporting safer traffic control in changing site conditions.
Reduced confrontation with motorists
By moving controllers away from the carriageway, eSTOP® helps minimise direct interaction with frustrated drivers and lowers the risk of roadside incidents.
Better working conditions for crews
Operators can supervise traffic control from safer positions, reducing sun exposure, fatigue, and dehydration during long shifts.
eSTOP®
eSTOP® Bluetooth
The eSTOP® Bluetooth has the ability to control up to 4 devices with a single HRC. (2 channel, 2 devices per channel) e.g. 1 x eSTOP, 1 x eBOOM on Channel 1, 1 x eSTOP, 1 x eBOOM on Channel 2.
In Multi Pair mode, one button will control two lanterns or one eBOOM and one eSTOP simultaneously.
For example, when deployed on one end of a two-lane road to ensure visibility for both lanes or to control the exit of a construction site and temporarily close all traffic when mobile plants leave.
Contact us for examples of use cases and application scenarios.
The eSTOP® Standard with LoRa communication extends the capability of the system with long-range, high-reliability wireless control.
Using the HRC-L controller, operators can control up to four devices arranged in two groups, for example one eSTOP and one eBOOM per group, enabling coordinated traffic control across larger or more complex sites.
LoRa communication provides up to 1.5 km line-of-sight operating range and also enables future upgrade to the HRCX controller, allowing transition to fully automated eSTOP AUTO operation if required.

The difference is the communication technology used.
HRC operates via Bluetooth and is suited to standard worksite deployments where shorter-range communication is sufficient.
HRC-L operates via LoRa (Long Range) communication, providing significantly greater operating distance and improved reliability across larger or more complex sites.
LoRa allows control over extended ranges without relying on line-of-sight, making it better suited for:
Both controllers operate in the same way from a user perspective — the difference is the communication capability behind the scenes.
